Horton Hospital 2024

At the beginning of 2024 I was lucky enough to be commissioned to produce some artwork for the walls and ceilings on the Women’s Unit at Horton Hospital in Banbury, part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and funded by Oxford Hospitals Charity.

The brief was to produce images that would help give the patients and visitors something else to focus on while they were undergoing treatment on the ward. There are two large pieces which face each other on the inside of a huge light well in the centre of the ward and there are two ceiling pieces for treatment rooms, plus a few random birds flying through the spaces.

It was really special to be involved in this and hopefully make a positive contribution to the well-being of patients and staff.
